Young Designer Award Winners

The brief for this year's award was to design an innovative new way of transporting people from the top of Shanklin cliff to the beach as an alternative to the lift. Our students came up with some very imaginative ideas and made it very tricky for the judges.. This is the third successful year that The Island Free School has entered the Young Designer Award which was organised by the IOW branch of RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects).

Students from all across the island took part in the competition.
Congratulations to all the students who took part and well done to our Year 7  students, we achieved four out of the top five places this year. The students picked up their certificates and medals during the award ceremony held at the Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes.
